Invicta FC is an all-women's mixed martial arts promotion, and for a long stretch it was the only place where several women's weight classes existed as competitive divisions at all.

Why an all-women's promotion mattered

When Invicta started, the largest promotions carried either no women's divisions or one. A fighter at 105 or 115 pounds could be among the best in the world at her weight and have nowhere to fight more than twice a year. A card made entirely of women's bouts solved a practical problem before it made any kind of statement: it created enough matchups for divisions to have depth, rankings to mean something, and prospects to be developed rather than discovered.

The atomweight division in particular has been contested here more consistently than anywhere else, and the same is true further up the lighter end of the scale.

A proving ground

The consequence visible on the pages below is that a large share of the women who later appeared on the biggest cards in the sport built their records here first. An Invicta record is therefore worth reading closely: the opposition is frequently better than the name recognition suggests, because both fighters were often ranked in a division the wider sport was not yet paying attention to.

It has also functioned as a place to come back to. Fighters who moved up to larger promotions and wanted activity between contracts have returned for a bout, which means a record here is not a simple ladder — reading the dates below alongside the opposition is the only way to see which stage of a career a given fight belongs to.

Bouts follow the Unified Rules of MMA, over three five-minute rounds with five for championship fights, in the standard weight classes.

The pages below list every fighter in this catalogue whose most recent bout was in Invicta FC, with their weight class, their record and how each of their last five fights ended.
