OKTAGON MMA is the promotion around which the Czech and Slovak fight scene organised itself, and it grew from there into one of the busiest circuits in central Europe.

A regional scene that scaled

Its rosters draw heavily on a part of Europe with a long grappling tradition — judo and freestyle wrestling taught through club systems, with a striking culture built alongside rather than imported. Czech, Slovak and Polish fighters form the core, with German, Hungarian and British names appearing regularly, which makes its cards a useful place to see European fighters matched against each other rather than against imports.

The volume matters. A promotion running a full calendar year after year gives its fighters something the sport rarely offers outside the largest organisations: the chance to fight three or four times in a year against opposition at their own level. Records built here are therefore often longer, and more recent, than those of fighters from scenes with fewer opportunities.

Tournaments alongside the cards

Beyond its regular events the promotion has run bracket tournaments, which puts the same demand on a fighter that any grand prix does — winning is not enough if the damage taken doing it makes the next round impossible. Reading a tournament run below is not the same as reading three separate wins.

Why the records read differently

A fighter who came up here has usually faced grapplers and strikers in equal measure, because the region feeds both. That is less common than it sounds: many national scenes lean so heavily one way that a fighter can reach a double-digit record without ever having been seriously wrestled, or without ever having been hit by someone who knew how. The opposition column below is worth reading with that in mind.

Bouts follow the Unified Rules of MMA, contested over three five-minute rounds with five for championship fights and finals, in the standard weight classes.

The pages below list every fighter in this catalogue whose most recent bout was in this promotion, with their weight class, their record and how each of their last five fights ended.
