Main and co-main events
Joshua Van beat Alexandre Pantoja by unanimous decision after five rounds in the main event of UFC 331 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The flyweight title stayed where it was, and Alexandre Pantoja had come in as the division's No. 1. In the co-main event, Arman Tsarukyan beat Mauricio Ruffy, the division's No. 8, by knockout at 4:56 of round one at lightweight. The championship bout did not produce a finish — it went the full distance — while seven of the eleven other results came early.
How the card was decided
Across the twelve bouts that produced a result, six ended by knockout, one by submission and five on the judges' scorecards — seven stoppages in twelve fights. Three of the five decisions divided the judges.
Finishes and fight times
The quickest finish belonged to Sean Sharaf, who stopped Gable Steveson after 12 seconds, and six of the seven finishes came inside the opening round. The longest was Marlon Vera's knockout of Charles Jourdain, 12 minutes and 2 seconds in. End to end, the twelve fights filled one hour and 53 minutes of cage time.
Main card against the prelims
The main card finished at the higher rate: three of five, against four of the seven below it. Marlon Vera (knockout, round three), Ryan Gandra (knockout, round one) and Casey O'Neill (submission, round one) all closed before the judges were needed.
Ranked fighters on the card
Eleven ranked fighters appeared, and four of them were in the top two bouts, among them champion Joshua Van.
Countries, weight classes and broadcast
The card drew fighters from eleven countries, seven of them from Brazil and seven from United States. Eight weight classes were used, featherweight most often with three bouts. Paramount+ carried all twelve bouts, split across a main card and two preliminary blocks.
