The broadcast opened around 10:45 p.m. with a 4.8% share of all viewers. At 11 p.m., Oktagon drew 0.28 million 14-49s, an 11.8% share. The 11:15 p.m. segment rose to 0.41 million and 18.6%, then the main fights hit 20.1% from 11:30 p.m.

Across every age group, the night peaked at 0.82 million viewers for a 7.8% share. RTL itself reports a peak of 922,000 people and a 12.5% share among 14-59s.
Beating the rival sport
At the same time, the Kiel vs Flensburg handball derby on ARD drew 0.94 million viewers but only 8.8% of 14-49s. Younger viewers clearly chose the cage.

According to DWDL, ratings rose sharply above all among younger viewers for this 3rd Oktagon night on RTL. The 2 previous ones drew around 9% and 11% among 14-49s.
A card built for television
The main event pitted Christian Eckerlin, the face of German MMA, against former champion David Kozma, in a stadium filled by close to 60,000 fans. Kozma won by rear-naked choke 2 seconds before the end of round 1, and Karlos Vémola beat social media star Frédéric Vosgröne.
Free to air and streaming
RTL showed the card free to air and on its RTL+ platform, a model that puts Oktagon in front of a far wider audience than pay-per-view alone.

What the ratings mean for Oktagon
One stadium a year
The Czech-Slovak promotion has announced Oktagon Infinity, a yearly stadium show whose 1st edition takes place on May 15, 2027, at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf. Ratings at this level strengthen its hand with German broadcasters and partners.
What’s next on the calendar
Oktagon 95 takes place on October 17 in Karlovy Vary, and Oktagon 100 on December 29 in Prague brings Makhmud Muradov and Krzysztof Jotko together to unify the middleweight title.
