Walker opened with low kicks, inside and outside Parkin’s lead leg, before adding body kicks. Sherdog noted a clear speed advantage for the Brazilian.

In the clinch, Walker landed an elbow, then a jumping knee as they came off the cage. He then pulled Parkin’s head down into a 2nd knee. Parkin collapsed and the referee stopped the fight at 3:35.

Walker was supposed to make his heavyweight debut in August against Ante Delija, before the Croatian withdrew. UFC 332 became his 1st outing in the division.

After the fight, Walker explained that cutting to light heavyweight cost him muscle mass and left him dehydrated. He believes no heavyweight can fight the way he does.
